Spain's parks are a bargain by British standards. PortAventura World near Salou, an hour south of Barcelona, is one of Europe's best resorts: PortAventura Park itself, the Ferrari Land park next door with Europe's tallest coaster, and the Caribe Aquatic water park. A three-day ticket for two parks costs less than a single day at most UK parks.
In Tenerife, Siam Park is regularly rated the best water park in the world, and its sister attraction Loro Parque is a serious zoo with orcas, dolphins and the largest penguin house in Europe. The twin ticket is the usual buy. Benidorm has Terra Natura and Aqua Natura for families staying on the Costa Blanca, and Barcelona has the hop-on hop-off buses and Go City passes for a city break.
All of these are sold in pounds by a UK seller with UK customer service, which matters more than it sounds when a Spanish park website refuses your card.
