Orlando's original attraction, open since 1949, and an unpretentious afternoon among thousands of alligators and crocodiles. The breeding marsh with its boardwalk and observation tower is the centrepiece; the Gator Jumparoo show, where gators leap for chicken, is the thing everyone films.
General admission to the park, the shows and the boardwalks. Upgrades add the zip line over the alligators, an airboat combo, and Trainer for a Day. Gator Night Shine is a separate evening event with torches.
Allow three hours, not a full day. It is fifteen minutes south of the Disney area on the road to Kissimmee. Wear proper shoes. It is a genuine break from the big parks and a fraction of the cost.
A cheap, memorable half-day. Good for the afternoon of an arrival or departure day.
