PortAventura Park + Ferrari Land 1 Day Ticket

What it is

PortAventura World near Salou, an hour south of Barcelona, is one of the best theme park resorts in Europe. PortAventura Park has six themed worlds, Shambhala and Dragon Khan among the best coasters on the continent, a good water ride selection and shows all day. Ferrari Land next door has Red Force, the tallest and fastest coaster in Europe, and Caribe Aquatic Park is the water park.

Which ticket

The one-day two-park ticket is fine for a day trip from Barcelona or Salou. The two-day and three-day tickets are where the value is: the three-day is often priced at or below the two-day, and adding Caribe Aquatic on the three-park version costs a few pounds more. PortAventura Park alone is a full day; Ferrari Land is a half day.

Things to know

Tickets are dated. The park runs a Halloween season and a Christmas season and closes for part of winter. Queues in August are serious; the Express pass is worth considering then. Accommodation on site or in Salou makes multi-day tickets easy.

Our verdict

Outstanding value by UK standards. The three-day two-park ticket is the one to buy for a holiday in Salou.
