A separately ticketed Halloween party at Magic Kingdom on select nights from mid-August to the end of October. The park closes to day guests at six and the party runs from seven until midnight, though ticket holders can enter from four. It is a family event, not a scare event: think trick-or-treating trails with free sweets, a Halloween parade with the Headless Horseman, villain shows on the castle stage and a fireworks show that is different from the regular one.
Lower crowds and shorter queues than a normal park day, plus attractions with Halloween overlays such as Space Mountain in the dark and the Haunted Mansion with extra characters. Adults can wear costumes, which they cannot at any other time. Character meets include rarer characters who only appear at the party.
It is not included in any Magic Ticket. Popular dates, especially the nights nearest Halloween, sell out weeks ahead. Take a bag for sweets. If you have a park day booked the same day, park hopping to Magic Kingdom in the afternoon and staying for the party is the efficient plan.
Worth it for families with children who like Halloween and for anyone who wants a quieter Magic Kingdom evening. Not worth it as a substitute for a park day if you only have a few.
