A large zoo in Puerto de la Cruz in the north of Tenerife with orca, dolphin and sea lion presentations, gorillas, jaguars, the largest penguin house in Europe and one of the world's biggest parrot collections. This ticket includes a coach transfer from the southern resorts, which is the sensible way to get there without a car.
It is a full day; the coach leaves early and returns late afternoon. The presentations are timed and the park map has a schedule, so plan around them. Food inside is reasonable. The animal shows are a matter of personal view; the park is accredited and its conservation foundation is real.
The best zoo in the Canaries. Take the transport version if you are staying in the south.
