What it is
Open-top hop-on hop-off buses on downtown and uptown loops covering Times Square, the Empire State Building, Fifth Avenue, Central Park, Greenwich Village, SoHo, Chinatown and the Financial District, with live or recorded commentary. Discover is one day, Essential is two days, and the Night Tour is a two-hour evening loop over the Brooklyn Bridge.
Things to know
Manhattan traffic makes the bus a slow way to travel but a good way to get your bearings on day one. The night tour is the best of them. If you are buying a Go City pass, a bus tour is included, so do not buy this separately.
Our verdict
Good for a first day. The night tour on its own is a fine evening.
