What it is
An observation experience at the top of One Vanderbilt beside Grand Central, and the New York deck people talk about afterwards. Rather than a plain viewing platform, SUMMIT is a series of mirrored rooms that reflect the skyline in every direction, glass ledges that hang over Madison Avenue, and a rooftop terrace. The view of the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building is the best in the city.
Things to know
Timed entry; sunset slots sell out. The mirrored floors mean skirts are a bad idea and they will offer you shorts. Children under six are not admitted to some areas. Allow ninety minutes.
