Disneyland Paris through the year
Halloween and Christmas are included with admission. Which season to pick and how many days.
Disneyland Paris changes with the seasons more than the Florida parks, and its seasonal events are included with admission rather than sold as separate parties. That makes the time of year a real part of the ticket decision.
Halloween, late September to early November
The Disney Halloween Festival brings pumpkins along Main Street, a villains-themed parade and show, characters in costume and a Halloween finale on the castle. It is family-friendly, not frightening, and it is included with a normal park ticket. Half-term week is busy; the weeks either side are excellent.
Christmas, early November to early January
Disney's Enchanted Christmas is the most beautiful the park looks all year: a giant tree on Town Square, a Christmas parade, snow on Main Street, a festive castle show and a Christmas version of the night-time spectacular. Weekends in December are the most crowded of the year; weekdays in late November are the sweet spot. Pack for cold; it is properly winter.
Winter, January to March
The quietest time. Short queues, low prices, cold and sometimes wet. Some attractions close for refurbishment. If you can tolerate the weather, it is the best-value trip and the only time you will walk onto Frozen Ever After.
Spring, April to June
Mild, pretty, busy around Easter and French bank holidays in May. Good for first visits. The Lion King and Jungle Festival has run in this period in past years.
Summer, July and August
Long opening hours, warm evenings, the biggest crowds of the year and the highest ticket prices. The evening show and the extended hours make up for some of the queueing. Premier Access earns its keep.
Pride and other events
Disneyland Paris Pride is a ticketed evening in June with shows and DJ sets. Special run weekends and Marvel or Star Wars seasons appear on the calendar; check the park's site for your dates.
Which ticket for which season
In winter, two days is plenty. In summer or at Christmas, when queues are long, the three-day ticket is the one that keeps the trip relaxed.
