Universal Epic Universe: a UK visitor's guide
The new park is in your ticket. The lands, the must-rides, and how to survive the crowds.
Universal Epic Universe opened in 2025 and changed the Orlando trip. It is the biggest new park in Florida for a generation and it is included in the standard UK Universal tickets. Here is what you need to know before you plan a day there.
The layout
You enter into Celestial Park, a garden hub with the Stardust Racers dual-launch coaster and a carousel, and from there four portals lead to themed worlds: Super Nintendo World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe, home to the classic monsters. Each world is a full land with rides, food and shops.
The must-rides
- Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry: a long, ambitious dark ride and the park's headline.
- Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment in Dark Universe, a robotic-arm dark ride that is intense.
- Stardust Racers: two launched coasters racing each other, the best coaster in the park.
- Hiccup's Wing Gliders: a family coaster in Isle of Berk that is better than it looks.
- Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge and the Donkey Kong mine cart coaster in Super Nintendo World.
Is it included in my ticket?
Yes. The Universal 3-Park Adventure Ticket and the All Parks Ticket sold to UK visitors both include Epic Universe with park-to-park access. Older two-park tickets do not. Check the ticket name on the seller's page. Express Pass at Epic Universe is sold separately and was not valid on the headline rides at launch.
How busy is it?
Very. It is the most crowded park in Orlando and the Wizarding World and Super Nintendo World can use virtual queues on peak days. Arrive before opening, go straight to whichever of those two you care about most, and accept that you will not do everything in one visit. That is what the fourteen-day ticket is for.
Getting there
Epic Universe is a separate site a few miles south of the original two parks, near the Orange County Convention Center. Shuttle buses run from the Universal hotels and CityWalk; if you are driving, it has its own car park. Allow time for the transfer if you are park-hopping.
How many days?
One full day for a first visit, ideally two across a fortnight. It is the reason we suggest at least four Universal days on the 3-Park ticket.
